Megiddo's Football Pool app for iPhone and iPad

There are many different variations of how people play football pools. They are also known as Super Bowl Squares. Most people play during the Super Bowl, but football pools can be played for any other game, or in some cases you can use the same squares for multiple games (Example: NFL Playoffs). My app will allow you to do just that.

I want to say thanks for downloading my app. If you notice any errors or crashes at all, please send me an email so I can get it fixed. Please don’t leave negative feedback. Allow me the chance to fix it first. Also, if there is anything else you would like my Football Pool to be able to do please let me know. I will attempt to integrate it.

Starting off, you select the amount each square is going to cost. The is called the Buy In. The running total will continue to rise when squares are filled in. The total will reflect the number of squares filled in, multiplying the Buy In X 100.

Next you will select the teams that are going to be playing. Select Team 1 then select Team 2.

Each person then selects their own square and places the initials of their first & last name into that box. They can also use their middle initial if there are two that are the same initials.

Once all of the squares are filled in, you push the Gray RNG (Random Number Generator) button. You cannot play with less than the 100 squares filled in.

At the end of each quarter you put the scores for each team in their respective boxes. The winner for each quarter is automatically calculated and placed in the appropriate boxes as soon as the scores are placed. The payout for each quarter is usually calculated with each winner receiving 20% with the winner of the final score receiving 40%. However, you can divvy up the winnings how ever you would like to.

You can hit the RESET button after the game is done to get ready for the next game. This RESET button clears the random numbers and the teams that are playing. All of the participant boxes remain the same. The app will ask you if you wish to clear the entire board select YES, otherwise hit NO.
